Saw this at the pump in Chapel Hill NC and thought cool! Then I drove past it to find a homemade ratchet strap/piece of lumber attached to god knows what under the car acting like a hitch. Wish I got a pic but it was not good.

On one hand, that sounds horrific. On the other hand, depending on how it’s rigged up, it could be a clever way to avoid installing a receiver on the car?
I imagine that the driver was towing the Porsche behind a bus or something with a real hitch, and is now just transporting the empty dolly back home.
